Katsuobushi, or bonito, are dried tuna flakes that are often used as a base for dashi broth or sauces, and as a beautiful and delicious decoration for warm Japanese dishes, as these thin flakes begin to "dance" on the plate due to the the heat from the food. Store in a cool, dark, dry place. After opening, keep the package closed and store in the refrigerator to keep the product fresh and use within 7 days. Packaged in a protective atmosphere. Caught in the East Central Atlantic. Catch method: with ring lines.
